WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT ONTYTE?
I love the security of knowing that I am never going to lose my stirrups when I am jumping in a big class and it’s one less thing I have to concentrate on while I am riding, especially in a jump-off. With my students, I’ve seen great improvements in position and confidence, which leads to great results.
HOW HAS YOUR RIDE CHANGED WITH ONTYTE?
I can ride with certainty knowing I don’t have to alter the placement of my feet in the stirrups, they’re just in right place from the word go.
WHICH IS YOUR BEST RIDING MEMORY?
Probably winning in the Aga Khan Cup at the Dublin Horse Show last year.
WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS FOR 2016?
I have some really good young horses that I want to introduce to higher jumping level classes. I also want to do some big shows, have good results and move back up in the rankings.
WHAT’S YOUR MOTTO OR TOP TRAINING TIP?
Work hard and be persistant, because it’s going to work out in the end.
